Based in Uintah, Utah, Drift is a 3rd generation chocolatier/confectioner that celebrates quality, whimsy, and shared joy. We combine time-honored technique with emerging trends and fresh flavor combinations. Whether you are enjoying something we make or sharing a tasting or learning experience with us, our goal is always the same: Delight everyone.

Our roots
Drift Chocolates began with a family tradition, passed down through generations of candy makers. Founder Brett Smith learned the craft from his mother-in-law, Ruth Kendrick, an acclaimed chocolatier who learned from her mother, Pauline Atkinson. Together, Ruth and Pauline authored the best-selling book Candymaking, inspiring countless home confectioners and professionals alike.
